Vibeke Lindhardt

Vibeke Lindhardt, born in 1960, is a weaver and textile artist. She graduated from the Skals Handicraft School’s Seminar 1982 and afterwards worked as an apprentice for textile artist Ann-Mari Kornerup 1983-85. In addition, she has a master’s degree in Didactics, Material Culture from Aarhus University 2011.
Among her works are tapestry and chasubles for Haderslev Cathedral (after drawings by the Danish Queen Margrethe II), Virklund Church, Sundby Church and Trinitatis Church in Denmark. She also creates more experimental pieces with elements of paper and embroidery.
Vibeke Lindhardt has exhibited at several censored national and international exhibitions, including “Stone, Scissors, Paper”, Munkeruphus 2006, Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition, 1986, 1992, 2005, Netherlands Paper Biennale 2004, Museum Rijswijk 2004, “Quatre Equis – XXXX”, Center d’Artesania, Barcelona 1990 and at “Craft in Europe”, The Pope’s Palace, Avignon 1990. She received, among many others, Statens Kunstfonds arbejdslegat (National Art Fund’s work grant) 1991, 2000 and 2005 and Danmarks Nationalbanks Jubilæumsfond in 1968 1986, 1987, 2003 and 2005.
